Shipping Policy

FREE SHIPPING

Our free shipping offer applies only to orders to be delivered within the continental United States (contiguous 48 states).  Orders to be shipped outside the continental United States, such as Alaska or Hawaii, are not eligible for free shipping.  We cannot provide free shipping to P.O. Box addresses.  If you provide a P.O. Box address on an order that qualifies for free shipping we will have to contact you to obtain a physical delivery address or charge you for the difference in rate between the free shipping cost for the service we would have used and Priority Mail which is the only service that delivers to a P.O. Box.  Priority mail charges for large heavy boxes can be VERY expensive.  

REGULAR SHIPPING

Our regular shipping rates are designed to recoup our cost of shipping your order.  The cost includes the actual charge we incur to ship your order plus an additional charge of $1.50 per shipment for pulling and packing.  Our website connects with the US Postal Service and UPS to provide shipping quotes based on the weight of the items in your shopping cart, the address they are being shipped to and the delivery service you select.  For international orders we also have DHL delivery services available.  There is a shipping quote estimator in your shopping cart that will give you a quote once you enter your zip code.   

PARCEL POST - We have elected to not provide parcel post options from the US Postal Service on our website.  Parcel Post is almost always more expensive than priority mail or UPS and can extend delivery times by 1 to 3 weeks.  We don't feel this is providing excellent customer service so we have chosen to eliminate this option from our website.  

ORDER PROCESSING

We make every attempt to process and ship orders within one business day of receipt.  Please be aware that we are closed on weekends and National holidays.  There can also be delays if we have trouble verifying addresses provided or processing your credit card information.  We try to resolve all these issues quickly in order to get the order out.

BACKORDERS

On occasion we may be out of stock or not have the quantity on hand of an item you order.  If that occurs we will contact you and give you the option to cancel the backordered items if you wish.  We will not hold up the rest of your order waiting for the backordered items.  If backordered items are still wanted we will ship those out to you once we receive them at no additional cost.  Most items we can get for you within a week.  

DELIVERY TIMING

Most of our orders are shipped using US Postal Service Priority Mail or US Postal Service First Class Mail depending on the weight.  First class mail has to weigh 15 oz or less so is only for small lightweight items.  Delivery for both of these types of packages typically takes 1-3 days.  Larger heavy packages are shipped using UPS ground delivery service.  UPS ground typically delivers packages within 1 to 5 days depending on how far it has to travel.  UPS delivers Mon-Fri.  US Postal Service delivers Mon-Sat. 

We do carry some items that are shipped directly to you from our venders.  This will be noted in the item description as "Merchandise ships from manufacturer".  Order processing times on these items may take longer and varies by vendor.  Once your item is shipped you will be sent a shipping notification e-mail that has the tracking number on it so that you can follow up on the status of your order.  Sometimes the shipping service has a slight delay in loading the tracking information into their system so if it doesn't pull up right away, check again in 12-24 hours and it should show up.  

SHIPPING DELAYS

Occasionally packages are delayed in transit because of situations we can't control such as bad weather, natural disasters, accidents, etc.  Because these situations are out of our control we cannot reimburse you for shipping costs if your package arrives later than expected.
